Trust score persists per handle. It influences the source-authentication panel weighting during forensic scoring — it never overrides reviewer judgment or substitutes for evidence.

Source-grounded
Every claim must trace back to first-source artifacts: footage, documents, on-record testimony, sensor data. No syndication-as-evidence.

Verifiable
Every published item must survive the VeriFact 5-panel forensic pass (source · corroboration · context · deepfake · integrity) before reviewer sign-off.

Transparent uncertainty
We publish what we know AND what remains uncertain. Confidence is shown, not hidden. Reviewer overrides are recorded in the audit trail.

Restrained framing
We do not infer geopolitics, intent, or identity beyond what artifacts support. Investigative voice; never sensational.

Every case has a SHA-256 hash, a chain-of-custody timeline, and a per-event audit log. Reviewers sign with verdict + rationale.

What does SVN do with my source files?+
Hashed (SHA-256 + perceptual), stored locally, EXIF-stripped on display. Originals never leave SVN infrastructure. Chain-of-custody recorded per file.
Can I stay anonymous?+
Yes. Trust score persists per handle; identity is segregated from publication metadata. Anonymous contributors face the same forensic pass — anonymity does not reduce standards.
How do you detect deepfakes?+
SVN's verification framework is designed around a five-panel forensic pass: GAN fingerprinting, frame-level inconsistency, audio prosody, compression artifact analysis, and reviewer judgment. Some panels are live in private beta; others are still in development. No single signal triggers a verdict alone — a Senior Editor makes the call.
What if SVN gets it wrong?+
Every verdict is reversible. Audit trail records every decision, override, and reviewer. Public corrections are linked to the original case hash.
